The Comfort Zone

Oh my soul, rest a while
for you have made a pile
who better deserves a spoil
than you, after years of toil

Let loose all reins
live unfettered, open in the rains
glow and glitter
like the sparkles of a thousand gems

Like a snowflake in a bright ray
I dazzle and allure every casual onlooker
but it dawned on me by mid-day
that I am thawing, and shortly will be gone from here

At my best, I might peak
My safest comfort zone, time will melt
I need redemption, eternal that is never bleak
At last, to rejoice and my soul to be at rest

On Holy Ground

Mark 4:26-29

I need to lay out a couple of things as premise that I sincerely hope will be helpful in the understanding of this scripture.

Please read every scripture -from the Holy Bible - I cited for context not just the specific verse I mentioned.

I pray to my God who is able to do exceedingly , abundantly , above that we can ask or think to fill you with the fullness of the understanding of his mystery to His glory. Amen.

Gen 2:7
A human being is a composition of
--> 1. body- to relate with nature , feelings and observations
--> 2. spirit - the form of God that can relate with God
But the body is animated by the spirit and we have a bridge called -mind or soul which has emotions {from body feelings}, reasoning {observation distilled into abstract forms i.e experience = facts + decisions}.


Jesus' parables regarding seeds almost always referred to the word of God that the body will pass through to the spirit - through the use of hearing (Romans 10:17), reading(2 Timothy 2:14).

The spirit is transformed (John 3:3-8) by the power {Greek is dunamis} in the word IF not filtered by the mind (Romans 12:1-2). So salvation is not automatic but guaranteed to whoever will believe the word !

The harvest is the effective working power (Ephesian 3) that transforms the spirit to be born-again (John 3:3-8 ; 2 Corinthians 5:17)...BUT the body will now need to be ruled by the spirit unlike before that experience feeds the spirit- For the just shall live by faith.(See also Romans 6:12-13 -- Emphasis on DO NOT LET...)


Now my understanding of the parable in Mark 4:26-29
3 things he(Jesus) highlighted,
Seed grows, yields and harvested - without the knowledge of the man !
--> The word permeates the mind,
transforms the mind's reasoning ,sometimes slowly i.e one thing at a time - subconsciously- he does not know how
and leads to decision of salvation (harvest).
Luke 10:2 - The harvest is plentiful but few laborers ...
